Golurk resembles a suit of armor possessed by a ghost. It is mainly teal in color. It has a small head compared to its body, and large bangles on all its limbs. There is also a crack across the chest of the armor which is patched diagonally in the opposite orientation which resembles a belt. It has a crystal-like formation on its shoulders. It has a Roman-armor-like "skirt" and flat feet beneath. Its eyes are pale yellow, as are spirals on its shoulders and hands.
Golurk is a genderless species. Golurk was created to protect people and Pokémon. If the bandage-like seal on its chest is removed, its power will run wild and it will Fly uncontrollably without being able to land or stop itself.
Despite its large size, Golurk is capable of flying. By inserting its hands in its arms and inserting its legs and feet in its body, it can take off like a rocket.
